Our mission is to assist individuals, families, and communities in the prevention, assessment and treatment of substance abuse issues in an effort to promote health, safety and community prosperity.

Our office is located in Hartford. Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays.  Evening hours are available by appointment. For more information, call (269) 621-3143 or (269) 657-5516.

Prevention Services
Offered to schools, community groups and organizations throughout Van Buren County. Services include specialized trainings and in-services on various substance abuse issues such as specific drugs and impact on families.

Consultation Services
Also available to schools, employers and communities looking to implement alcohol, tobacco and drug policies. Support for communities forming local coalitions to address the substance abuse issues in their community. We strive to add new programming as new needs and challenges are identified.

Treatment Programs
Include individual and family substance abuse counseling, as well as group treatment programs. In addition, we offer assessments and screenings for individuals charged with drunk driving/drug possession, and drivers’ license evaluations.

Special Programs
In partnership with the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department, we provide treatment services to methamphetamine offenders in the Van Buren County Jail and in the community. This project was established in 2003 using the “A New Direction A Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment Curriculum.”
